Well it’s been a lot of work, but we’re ready to introduce FeatureSet to the world!

What we envision is a social application that brings your product development to the next level by connecting all participants in the process: customers, product managers, marketing, and engineers.

Our idea is to link what used to be independent silos of information, and through these connections streamline your product management from idea generation to delivery. More specifically, FeatureSet allows you to collect customer feedback (and internal feedback), generate product requirements, and finally create development tasks. Since all these elements are linked together, you will have better visibility into what you are working on, but also why you are working on it.

Of course FeatureSet is also chock-full of social and collaboration tools to help everyone communicate, including chat, blogs, discussions, real-time editing, profiles and more.

We’ve also developed a social sharing model that we feel is more suited to a business environment:
– Every user belongs to an organization which has certain authority over their permissions
– Projects (and the product or service data they contain) are owned by the organization
– Users can create and share projects with others, even with users in other organizations
.
This means that your company will always have final control over your data, while still being able to work fully with people in other organizations. Our freemium distribution model means that you can share without worry of saddling your business partners with unexpected costs.
