OneDesk for HIPAA

OneDesk offers advanced security and robust configurations that allow for you to configure your account in a manner that helps you comply with HIPAA standards. Staying compliant with HIPAA while using OneDesk depends on how you use the software and whether you correctly configure your account.
Any organization looking to use OneDesk in compliance with HIPAA must follow the process outlined below.

What is HIPAA?

The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) is a law enacted by the United States congress that stipulates rules and standards for healthcare providers or healthcare related organizations. OneDesk’s Business Associate Agreement (BAA)

A Business Associate Agreement (BAA) is a legal contract between you, the Subscriber and OneDesk. The Subscriber must have OneDesk’s BAA in place and have complied with all requirements prior to any Protected Health Information (PHI) being added into a OneDesk account. HIPAA Compliance and OneDesk

There are a number of requirements you must follow in order to use your OneDesk account in a HIPAA compliant environment. You must purchase a license specific to HIPAA-Enabled Accounts. This license includes OneDesk’s Business Associate Agreement (BAA). The subscriber must sign the BAA with OneDesk before adding any Protected Health Information (PHI). In addition, once the agreement is completed, it is the subscriber’s sole responsibility to maintain HIPAA compliance, including configuring mandatory account settings as outlined by OneDesk, as well as adhering to the requirements as described within the BAA. Failure to comply with recommended configurations will be at the subscriber’s own risk.

HIPAA Pricing

HIPAA-Enabled accounts follow different pricing than a regular OneDesk account. A HIPAA-Enabled account includes: the signed BAA and ALL features for $30/user a month, billed annually. To request a quote please submit a HIPAA Quote Request.
